(Reporter Tan Xingfu) On September 26th, the opening demonstration conference of the major project"The integration and study of Chinese phonology and semantics in China, Japan and Korea " of the 2019 National Social Science Fund was held in Room 310 of the Fifth East Teaching Building. Professor Huang Renxuan who came from the Faculty of Humanities, was the host for the event. The people who attended the conference included Professor Li Yunfu (leader of the panel, from Beijing Normal University), Professor He Huazhen (a panelist, on behalf of Zhengzhou University and Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics)，Professor Liu Baojun (from South-Central University for Nationalities)，Professor Wang Qiming (from Southwest Jiaotong University)，Professor Zhao Shiju (from Wuhan University), Li Zhiqiang (the director of Humanities and Social Sciences in our school), Liu Chanjuan (the secretary of the Party Committee of humanities College in our school) and Liu Jiuming (the dean of the Faculty of Humanities).
The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by Professor Cheng Bangxiong of the Faculty of Humanities and Li Zhiqiang and Liu Jiuming each delivered their speech. Li Zhiqiang welcomed and expressed gratitude for the panelists'coming and instruction and he also briefly introduced related situation of Humanities and social science research in our school. Liu Jiuming gave an account of the development and current situation of humanities College to the panel and showed that our College would spare no effort to promote the smooth implementation of the project.
The parts about subjects reporting, expert review and collective communication were hosted by Professor Li Yunfu. Firstly, Professor Huang Renxuan made general statements about the subject, whose details included six aspects that were the origin of selected topic and its value, overall framework and expected goals, ideas and methods of the research, key points, difficulties and innovations, subtopic structure and its research contents, the problem difficulties. After that, subtopic leaders presented the situation of their own subtopics.
The panel agreed that the subject had strong academic value and practical significance and the overall framework of the prepared subject and the research contents of its five subtopics were scientific and rational. What's more, they thought its value was not only stated, but also certainly set up an important information platform for Chinese academic research. Considering the project was huge, the panel suggested that the research group should follow a principle"Clear research criteria,reach limited goals", integrate and study pronunciation and meaning materials of Chinese, Japanese and Korean Chinese Buddhist literature based on Buddhist pronunciations and meanings which were written by Chinese composer, strive to build a platform for comprehensive utilization of Chinese phonological and semantic literature and computer aided Chinese phoneme relation matching system, explore problems about theories and methods of Chinese phonological and semantic literature research, support experience and examples with the building of Chinese phonological and semantic literature subject.
In the five subtopics of this project, chief expert Professor Huang Renxuan acted as one subtopic leader, other subtopic leaders were acted by Professor Fengzheng who came from Capital Normal University, Professor Xu Shiyi who came from Shanghai Normal University，Professor Yang Jun who came from Anhui University and associate professor Zhang Yi who came from Huaibei Normal University.
There were 30 people in all attending this conference including expert representatives who came from Anhui University, Beijing Normal University, Changsha University of Science and Technology, Hubei University, Huaibei Normal University, Wuhan University, Southwest Jiaotong University，Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics，Zhejiang Gongshang University，Zhengzhou University and South-Central University for Nationalities and teachers and students from our school.
